happy yellow chair ~

Isn't this the happiest yellow chair ever?!?!

I am totally crushing on it!

Amazingly, its original owners taped the bill of sale to it, so it shows that it dates to 1970.....what a great year that was I might add!

This happy sunshiney yellow beauty is currently available for sale at Motley Junket, booth B002 at Heritage Square Antique Mall!

spring at Motley Junket ~

Hello friends!

It has been over a month since I've posted here.  Unfortunately, I lost my Mom which caused my world to turn upside down.  I took a break from just about everything, as I'm sure you all understand.  My Mom's illness was lengthy......I have been her primary caregiver for over six years.  I feel so grateful for having been able to spend time with both her and my Dad before they passed.  And I feel very grateful for the good days we had together many of which are my forever memories.  Despite the fact that my Mom was sick for a long time, she had a great week right before she died..........we had lunch together nearly every day, made a visit to the beauty salon, and wheeled around in the glorious sunshine.  In addition, she was in terrific spirits showering us with ornery comments and giggles.  I believe that week was a gift from above.

Any of you who've experienced loss know that it takes time to get your spirit back.  It has been important for me to continue with creative projects to distract me and keep me busy.

Today Keely and I spent the day at our Motley Junket booth at Heritage Square Antique Mall getting the place all shaped up for Spring!  We find that if we give ourselves a theme or inspiration idea, we both individually start pulling things together that somehow just end up mixing really well!  Our inspirational theme this time was "garden party".  We brought in an interesting mix of items and I've got lots of photos to share, so here we go!

I've said this before and I'll say it again, I am not quite sure how we fit all our eclectic stuff in this small space, but every time, I'm amazed at how it all makes it in there!  Last night when loading the car, my husband said to me "you think all of this is going to fit?".  And of course I had to remind him that Keely would be bringing a load of stuff too!

It did all fit with some creative maneuverability and Keely's very impressive ability to effectively stack and layer stuff!  I have learned so much from her!

Thanks for visiting Motley Junket.......we appreciate it so much!

Linking up to Jen Rizzo's "Show us your Shoppe" linky party!

Thanks Jen for doing this....what a great way for all of us girls to get the word out there about our little shops that mean the world to us!

Take care, and keep dreaming ~
