old dresser makeover ~

I am participating in Cassie's POWW party by sharing the final outcome of this old dresser's makeover.

I bought this dresser because I really liked the lines and the appliques.  Plus it was sturdy and the drawers worked just fine.  I used Behr's Elegant Ivory paint, gave it a good distressing and added new knobs.

I will be taking this piece to The Rural Society Antique and Garden Show.

Thanks for coming by and don't forget to visit Cassie's blog Primitive and Proper for Piece of Work Wednesday!  Lots of awesome furniture makeovers!!

Awww... what a cute piece! You made it even better. Love the distressing and hardware. I'm sure it will sell in a heartbeat. My FIL was just telling me that Behr paint was ranked the highest for quality and finish.
How I wish I could fly out to the show! Looking forward to pictures!

Have a great remainder!

I emailed Lisa a couple of weeks ago looking for a dresser EXACTLY like this! I ended up getting a Barrister bookcase, but oh she is lovely and so tempting. You did a great job!

Love, love, love it!! Silly question, I love the distressed look you gave it. Did you just paint it and then sand in different spots?? What are the steps?

Thanks for your beautiful blog!
