valentine craft love ~

We are getting tons of snow today, so I decided it would be best
to stay off the roads and take advantage of a day at home.
It was a day filled with pricing goods, doing laundry, and
working on a few crafty valentine projects.

When I was digging through a box of stuff waiting to be priced,
I found a pair of old chalkware plaques.  They had fruit decals in the
center that someone had tried to scrape off and immediately I knew
they could be salvaged and turned into something pretty!

A few weeks ago, I bought the coolest fattest old dictionary with yellowed pages.
I chose the words "valentine" and "love", cut them out and decoupaged them
right over the fruit decals.

I had a couple flowers in my "this and that" drawer as well as few bits of burlap
that I hot glued on for a bit of embellishment.

I decided to hang them in my foyer.
Now I just need to finish up that area with a few other "lovely" accessories!

Hope you all are enjoying your week!

You have the cutest ideas Polly!

I have a little story...when I was using vintage dictionary pages to decoupage the doors for my booth I chose the "S" pages for Sandi. Didn't really read them and one panel held a few inappropriate words to be displayed in public! So glad I noticed before!
