Greetings!
Just sharing a few more holiday house photos tonight!
I found this large chalkboard at the Scott Antique Show last month and
decided to hang it in the family room above my french ammunition basket.
It is made of chunky vintage molding in the prettiest shade of peachy pink...
Not sure why, but I've really been drawn to pink lately!
I've also really stepped out of my comfort zone this Christmas by buying LIVE plants!
I definitely do not have a green thumb, and I've always worried about the cat
deciding to eat the poinsettias. I've always heard they can be very harmful to animals.
But Grayson {the cat} is getting old and is a lot less active. She hasn't even shown a slight interest in them.
I lined the french ammo basket with a large trash bag before placing the poinsettias inside.
I used some vintage shredded book pages as filler. Kinda quirky, I know. But I kinda like it!
See that round basket with all the cozy blankets piled in?
It's actually a cooler! It has a round styrofoam cooler that fits perfectly inside.
It also has a lid, and when it's on, it becomes a nice little table. We take it with us to
picnics and such, but I decided to use it in the family room to hold blankets since we
won't be doing much picnicking with all this snow!
I'm so glad I went with my heart and added these beautiful posies to my holiday decor!
They make me happy!
This fuzzy hat makes me happy too!
Some days just require a hat, and I always look forward to wearing it.
It just made it's winter debut yesterday because there's was lots of shoveling to do
and the snow just kept falling ALL.DAY.LONG.
It was gorgeous. and peaceful. and serene. and lovely.
I heart snowflakes.

Perfect framed chalkboard! That's a REAL shabby chic pink if ever I saw it :) I just bought that bottle brush wreath too....and uh, was eyeing the pink poinsettias at the grocery store today. Great minds think alike!

Love the chalk board! Just last night I was on the blog Making it Lovely and she was discussing her favorite pink paint and thought "I need to put some pink in my me cave." Great minds must think alike!

No fair on the bottle brush wreath. I was lucky to find some trees though. I really like how you paired it with the chalkboard frame. Don't you just love chalkboard paint?! Love all the pops of pink. I LOVE that chalkboard!! It's such a great size! That hat is so cute on you, too! ;-) I have a fuzzy one but it's a camel color. Actually I don't where it is right now, I should try to find it!

The snow has been just beautiful lately.
I love what you did with the chunky frame. I always have loved pink poinsettias. I never liked the red ones.

Quirky is good! I was going to buy a poinsettia yesterday and chickened out .I thought I'd just end up killing it. But then, it wasn't as pretty as yours. I would have bought one like yours.

I love the poisettias and well your hat is simply smashing darling...just like you! I am feeling so much better today after being sick all week.... my girls are better also :) now we need to pray for the Hubs as he has caught or bug. I hope you have an amazing weekend my friend :)

Pretty in pink!
The poinsettias are such a prettyt shade. Now, my cat would be eating the book page shreds. I had some in a basket on my counter and he wouldn't stay out of it. And cute hat!
