~ an old shoe rack filled with white things ~

It's mid-week and time to soak in all the inspiring White Wednesday entries at Kathleen's blog Faded Charm!  I always look forward to Wednesday morning for this very reason!

This is my antique shoe rack that resides in my kitchen filled with some of my favorite white things...

These simple vintage stoneware bowls have been collected over time -  one here, one there.
I use them for the pet's water and food bowls.

I'm always drawn to anything with words on it...

another word container, this one in wonderful hobnail...

I found this cute caddy at auction many years ago.  Auctions are funny.  You think everyone is going to want the same thing as you which will drive the price way up, but noone saw the beauty in this thing like I did.  Snatched her up for $1!  Can't get anything at auction for $1 anymore!!  We use it for condiment serving during parties and I always pull it out for taco night....salsa, sour cream, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes...it's just right for serving those types of things...

fluted ironstone compote....so hard to find these!!

 stacked ironstone platters...

The top shelf of the shoe rack is kind of flimsy and saggy in the center, so I struggled with what to put up there.  I settled on two whitewashed baskets that hold linens...

Linking up to Faded Charm!  If you love to decorate with whites, then visit Kathleen's blog for tons of inspiration, ideas, and kindred spirits!!

Happy White Wednesday!

I have a little obsession with white dishes. I have a few pieces of iron stone but, I wish I had a lot more. Your collection is fabulous!

I just love how all your whites just "pop" against the wood. What a wonderful piece.
