Last weekend, we went on our local Parade of Homes. It featured 8 new builds in a beautiful community, each built and decorated by different crews and designers. We went through the first six homes. They were big and beautiful. But I noticed I was only taking a picture here and picture there, mostly of bathrooms and laundry rooms.
And then, we went into house number 7 built by Kevin Knight.
From the moment I stepped inside, my jaw dropped to the floor. We had gone through six houses in less than an hour. We were in this one house for over an hour!
I took a ton of pictures and can't wait to share them! I will try to keep my commentary to a minimum because the style infused into this home will speak for itself. This place was filled with found objects and furniture. How do I even begin to describe it?
industrial ~ modern ~ chic ~ rustic ~ simple ~ edgy ~ natural ~ textural ~ even a bit beachy
Here we go...
These sliding barn doors partitioned a bedroom from an artists studio on the upper level...
The lighting throughout the home was amazing...
This huge clock light fixture was above the dining table....
an old butcher block as an end table...
This room was so cool!
Multi-purpose function at its best.
potting room . laundry room . functional storage . mudroom.
I loved every inch of it....
On to the basement...
Look at this wine cellar!!!!
I still can't get this beauty off my mind!!
Hats off to the team who created this place!
It was truly a work of art.

Polly - that is an amazing house you have stumbled upon! I can see why you were in there so long - lots of unique touches to check out. That laundry-mud room is so interesting to look at and also looks super functional! I'd love that! Thanks for sharing!
Amazing, love it. Like one big art installation!

Wow! This one is for the books- nobody has done this style before for a home show! Love the industrial/country casual look. I would have been in that house forever! Camcorder and camera burning images into my brain. Hope all is well w/you. hugs, Sue
How fun I wanted to go to the parade of homes. They would die seeing me take 3 kids. I love the laundery area in this last area and mudd room. Fun fun. Have fun at your garage sales. Sounds wonderful!! can't wait to see what you get.
Love every room! Thank you for sharing!! Back in my previous life when I was in property management (some 20 years ago), Mr. Knight rented an apartment from me at the community I managed in Dublin. While I do not know him personally (and I am certain he doesn't remember little ole' me) I will never forget his hand writing, very precise, all caps, every letter the same height. The hand writing of an architect that's for certain. Isn't it weird the little things that stick with you? Anyway, he was a super nice man and obviously extremely talented.
Thanks again Polly! I never seem to make it to these parades so its nice to live vicariously through you! Hope all is well!!
What a great house! Thanks for sharing it
Oh and thanks for stopping by my little blog too!
