~ a few new displays ~

When I work part-time at the antique mall, I get to wear many hats and participate in all sorts of retail duties!
Customer service and cashiering.... toilet cleaning, sweeping, and window washing....and my most favorite -
merchandise presentation and displays!

We stayed late into the night on Thursday to bring out some great pieces and create some new displays throughout the place.  I snapped a few photos and thought I would share them.

Debbie worked on this area that is filled with primitives, tools, and old advertising pieces...

Isn't that Cattle Crossing sign awesome?  It is so perfectly weathered!

All of these old advertising cans are fresh out on the floor!  Most of them are in really good condition!  They add such vibrant color!  If you've got a car buff in the family, they would make a great gift!

All sorts of primitives rest atop this old workbench still dressed in green paint!
I love how she put all the chicken feeders sticking out of that basket!
And the stirrup as a towel holder....clever!!
Wouldn't that be cute in a little cowboy's bathroom?

The nights that we stay late and work on displays are pretty neat if I do say so myself!
We have a room that is literally filled with stuff ready to go out on the floor that we can pick from.
Sometimes it makes me feel like an "American Picker".  (LOL)

This week I took my inspiration from an old blanket that was all tattered and stained with age.  It literally looked like it had been dipped in tea over and over.  I decided to mix a bunch of juxtaposing elements.
cottage florals and pink
industrial
and
weathered primitive....

This crusty rusty industrial cart is very cool.  It's on castors and still rolls along quite nicely.
The fabric you see is a set of vintage curtain panels with the sweetest cottage floral....softly muted with age.
The Science Kit box no longer holds any test tubes or microscopes, but isn't the writing on that box cute!?

I took this old divided industrial metal drawer and put teeny glass bottles in each opening.
The little spindly leg table would look cute on a porch...

FABULOUS old barn vent...

This primitive cupboard is fresh off the truck!
Great patina, glass knobs, and good storage potential!

The items in these displays are currently available for sale at:

I love, love, love what you did with your display. The pinky floral gives a great romantic touch and softens it up. Great treasures Polly!
