Garden Party

I spent the day surrounded by some beautiful things! There's the 9 foot long cupboard/buffet (really, it's an old tool bench used in the leather shop at the shoe factory), the amazing collection of jadeite and turquoise FireKing dishes filling the old primitive cupboard (sorry the FireKing dishes are not for sale), dazzling glassware compotes and drinking glasses and cake plates, the vintage ruffly umbrellas hanging from the rafters, the GORGEOUS 1920's chandelier, the rusty old lawn chairs in the perfect shade of mint green, and the oversized cool, heavy, rusty candleholder. SIGH!

We are participating in an event this Friday evening and wanted a fresh new look to celebrate the spring season with our guests. The Garden Party theme just seemed appropriate to this time of year! Hope you enjoy the photos as much as we enjoyed putting it all together!

Flowers and FireKing

Our Easter Open House at The Olde Shoe Factory is today. I decorated one little corner of my booth with funky, colorful FireKing dishes and live white tulips and colorful ranunculus plants wrapped in burlap and pretty ribbon. I thought these would make a great hostess gift for the gal who whips up your Easter dinner!

Stop by today between 10am - 6pm. The most amazing gift baskets are being raffled off.....you can view them at the website www.oldshoeantiques.com. Also, there's refreshments, an Easter Egg hunt (you might win a gift certificate!), and many vendors are having one day only sales!

To all, have a Happy Easter!
