I'm not one to do a ton of seasonal decorating, at least not inside my home. Now outside, that's another story.....I will head out to the pumpkin patch at least a dozen times! Inside, however, I might add a little something here and there, but I don't go crazy changing everything. I used to. I had tubs and tubs of little knick-knacky seasonal stuff that I would drag out every year, for each holiday. But I've whittled those down over the years and just try to keep things more simple. I do, however, love to add coveted new items around my home to keep things fresh and intriguing. Here's a few of my recent finds....
a rusty old breadbox with a glass knob.......not for bread storage anymore - it's just a little too rusty for that.....but it's perfect for storing all those unsightly papers and coupons that clutter up the kitchen counter
a new handmade Beth Quinn necklace.....you can find her blog and merchandise on my blog list....I have received several compliments when I wore it last week....and Beth was so nice to do business with!
the handmade teardrop prism necklace came from Urban Farmhouse, also on my blog list......it is decoupaged and says "vintage french" (and yes, you may be able to tell that i have a necklace problem, if you think having too many is a problem!!!)
now this idea I snatched up from Sue Whitney's blog Junkmarket Style.....it's just a simple glass cylinder candle holder that I decoupaged some old piano roll paper to....it's really pretty at night with the candle glowing through the slits in the paper.....read the words from bottom to top
an urn I picked up somewhere a couple weeks ago.....a true rescue.....it had been broken in half and glued together, so it's a little wonky....originally my plan was to use it in my kitchen to store my roll of paper towels, but the opening wasn't quite big enough so an acorn squash got a new home
i loved this bottle when I saw it! I have a thing for the fleur de lis symbol......just added a whiskey bottle pourer and some clear dish soap....it's much prettier than a generic plastic soap bottle sitting on the counter!
thanks for dropping by..... til next time....
